Spreading the Word

1 Peter 3:15…”Sanctify Christ as Lord of your heart– always being ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you concerning the hope that is in you; yet with gentleness and reverence [humility and godly fear].”

We who are sons and daughters of the true and Living GOD, children of the Kingdom of the LORD Jesus Christ- are called, commissioned, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the ultimate “Good News”… the Everlasting Gospel of the Kingdom.  Our Saviour, GOD, and King said:

Luke 12:32… Fear not- little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

We all know that Christ suffered and died for the sins of mankind, whom He came to redeem by the only means possible:  His atoning death on the cross as our Substitute- the Innocent for the guilty.  He yearns for us to participate whole-heartedly in this glorious work of Redemption, having given each of us a ministry to actively seek and help save that which was lost… His most precious creation:  man.

Jesus Intends to Make All Things New!

2 Corinthians 5:18-21… Now all things are of GOD, Who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is that GOD was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.  Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though GOD were pleading through us: ‘We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to GOD!’  For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of GOD in Him. 

Our responsibility is clear!  Before our LORD ascended into Heaven, to return to the Father…

Matthew 28:18-20… Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on earth.  GO therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I AM with you always, even to the end of the age.”  AMEN!

Since we are not ashamed of the Gospel- the results of our efforts are clearly in the capable Hands of the Holy Spirit, Who will honor our testimony of Christ promising:

2 Corinthians 2:14-17… Now thanks be to GOD who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.  For we are to GOD the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.  To the one we are the aroma of death unto death, and to the other the aroma of life unto life.  And who is sufficient for these things?  For we are not, as so many, peddling the Word of GOD; but as of sincerity, but as from GOD, we speak in the sight of GOD in Christ.

The Lies of Darkness Contradicted by The Ultimate Truth!

Without the Holy Spirit, any and all efforts are futile; so there will also be a followup set of essays focusing on the dispensation and work of the Holy Spirit in what we call the church age (since Pentecost). There will be much to say in the near future about advancing Christ’s Kingdom by worship and prayer, evangelism, and mentoring discipleship (investing our lives in others for mutual growth in power and humility). But for now I will focus on resource websites:

Key to Revival– Free array of tracts with one of my all-time favorites “How to Know God Personally”. This booklet among other selections from The Alliance for Christian Fellowship International has 108 scripture references in 30 pages, and believe me when I say that I got choked up at how blessed I/we are to know God intimately.

Unbeatable for ministering the gospel, especially to the young and young at heart.

Pocket Testament League– 120 years of sharing the Gospel to the world in multiple languages.  Truly high quality material- both free and for purchase in quantity.  Highly recommended with ‘member’ stats tracked and available to gauge one’s progress in sharing our precious faith.

Bibles For America– The Living Stream Ministry Recovery Version of the New Testament is available for free distribution.  I have read the entire Holy Bible- Recovery Version from Genesis to Revelation, including all the extensive study and reference footnotes… and consider this my favorite Bible. Incomparable scholarship answering the many questions that naturally present themselves when one seeks to clearly understand GOD’s Holy Word.

Living Waters and Way of The Master -Without question some of the most comprehensive teaching on sharing the gospel available anywhere! I have used Ray Comfort’s tracts for years… they are some of the very best!

Chick Publications– I started with Chick-Tracts, and still use several titles of their huge catalog almost exclusively: I love The Word Became Flesh and The Empty Tomb… and especially that they’re available in Spanish and are very well written.

It all begins with prayer, developing a heart of compassion- and with intercession receiving the Father’s broken Heart of love for mankind… needlessly suffering when the Way, the Truth, and the Life have been provided in Christ. Because of His mandate we will succeed in bringing billions more to the knowledge of the Eternal and saving Faith.

GOD, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.

Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
